I am shedding:
Self-sabotage
Self-Hatred
Exhaustion that keeps others comfortable
Co-Dependency
Dismissing my needs
Insecurity
Negative self-talk
Guilt that allows self-betrayal.

Shedding the Shed
My mind and body
Has been a shed
A decaying storage unit
Holding on to pain
Old patterns
Self-sabotage
Resentments
A tangled mess that no longer serves me.
Shedding
Shedding feels like possibility
Renewal
Shedding feels like letting go
It may come with anger, doubt, sadness, and grief
But letting go of the shed feels right
Feels healthy.

Note: I am happy to report that I feel so much better since coming to Toronto. Every day
the people of Toronto continue to delight me with their kindness and openness. I feel a
deep sense of connection and belonging. I am grateful I didn’t have to wait to the fall to
experience this shedding.
